As a general rule, the exact depths will have less of an input on solar systems relative to mains powered systems because of this, and these figures should be taken as a general indication of the range of flow rates produced by this kit.

The Solar Dam Aerator King Kit is ideal for dams of ~3 acres, or up to 5 acres depending on local conditions and solar panel placement. The lockable cabinet can be mounted onto a concrete slab, where airlines can be concealed through plumbing, minimising the appearance of airlines and providing a durable and permanent fixture for air compression.

Aeration is one of the most universally beneficial management options for improving water quality and conditions in a dam. Dam aerators distribute fine bubbles of air through air diffusers, which cycles deeper layers of water, and dissolves oxygen into the water body. Dissolved oxygen and a healthy circulation of water are important for natural processes and microbial activity that support the health of a waterbody, and develop a natural and self-sustaining ecosystem capable of supporting fish, crustaceans, aquatic plants and waterbirds.

Installation:Â
The Solar Dam Aerator King Kit includes 3 subsurface dam bed air diffuser stations. Subsurface aeration is most effective for deeper dams (>2.5m), pumping air to the bottom of the dam to enable complete circulation, and break up stratified layers of water. Diffuser stations should be placed in the deepest parts of the dam, distributed evenly, with 30m of weighted airline included per air station in this kit. The included air stations may require anchoring depending on the positioning, but comes with attachment points on a base plate for weights or ties.
The compressor is housed within a soundproof, lockable cabinet included in the kit, and includes 4x 475W solar panels to be installed alongside the cabinet.
