Size: 40cm max, commonly 20cm

Distribution: Across Northern Australia

Housing: Rendahl’s Catfish are a freshwater fish and don’t like salt or brackish water. They can jump so an aquarium lid is required. Plants are recommended to best house this fish.

Water: Extremely tolerant to PH and can live in water with a PH ranging from 6-8. The temperature of the water should be kept in between 20-32 degrees.

Diet:Insects, small crustaceans and most dry foods.

Comments: Rendahl’s Catfish are peaceful and do excellent in community tanks. They will get bullied by aggressive fish species.

Rendahl’s Catfish have venomous spines on their back, so extra care should be taken when handling this fish.
